How Remote Tuning Works

How Remote Tuning Works

Remote tuning allows you to get a professional-grade calibration without ever visiting a dyno or shop. Whether you're cammed, boosted, or just dialed-in with bolt-ons, RS Tuning delivers tailored results through a streamlined digital process.

🧰 Step 1: Prep Your Vehicle

  • Ensure the vehicle is mechanically sound—no vacuum leaks, misfires, or check engine codes
  • Install a wideband O2 sensor if one isn’t integrated from the factory
  • Have a Windows laptop with the latest version of HP Tuners VCM Suite or Holley EFI
  • Download our Tuning Prep Checklist to ensure everything is ready

šŸ“¤ Step 2: Submit Your File

After checkout, you’ll get an email with instructions to send us your:

  • Stock or current tune file
  • Complete build/mod list
  • Vehicle year/make/model and fuel type

āš™ļø Step 3: Receive Your Base Calibration

We build a custom base file based on your setup—not a generic map. You'll also receive logging instructions to record driving data for fine-tuning.

šŸ“ˆ Step 4: Log & Revise

Use your tuning software to record datalogs under our guidance. Revisions are made based on real-world data until your car performs safely, reliably, and at its best.

šŸ Step 5: Finalize & Enjoy

Once the tune is complete, you’re set. Whether it’s a weekend cruiser or track-ready build, your vehicle is calibrated for optimal drivability and performance.
